    I received my very first Munch Crate yesterday… what a fun experience! We loved it, the whole family gathered round the table and we tried everything, giving our opinions on each. It was super fun.

    + PROS: Tasting foods from all over the world, delivered straight to your door! It's a lovely interactive experience for the whole family!
    - CONS: I think the price point is a little high for us South Africans, I know it's cheaper than other subscription services as it is a South African site, but I just wish if were a little more affordable.

    Super Amazing, down to the last detail.
    My kids were having a bad day missing their dad, and lo and behold the courier arrived with the parcel which was an instant pick me up!
    Even more excited when i opened the box and they saw the treats inside.
    So thank you for that. Well impressed!

    + PROS: Lovely secure packaging (loved the added touch if the freezer flex to keep the chocolates firm) Variety of snacks The option of visiting a country without leaving the comfort of your home. The variety of imported goods at a reasonable price

    Absolutely looooove the idea! It took my order 5 days to arrive! Ordered on the 3rd and received it on the 7th of December 😁😁 thought it would only be here in January!!

    + PROS: Received 11 different items (13 in total) Great variety (sweet - sour - salty) Once opened all items (different colours) looks inviting and interesting! Enjoyed every treat 😋
    - CONS: No cons about the box at all but rather the delivery - had a very sweet note for my fiancé as this would be our last date as an unmarried couple but the note was nowhere to be found not even on the delivery slip but now I got to do it face to face which was kind of "nice-er" so nothing major!

    I received my first box today, sooo damn excited. I tried a few already and i like all of them so far. I do not regret ordering the box of happiness. Definitely can’t wait for the other one next month!!I highly recommend getting these boxed!

    Received my first box and I’m so impressed. Was a bit suspicious subscribing but i’m very happy! I played it save by choosing USA for my first box as I am quite familiar with some of the snacks. Looking forward for the next boxes.

    Ordering is easy and hassle free & they then notify you when the box is shipped with a tracking number. I received my package sooner than expected. Received an email that the box was shipped late night and received it the next day. Would highly recommend!!!

    I’ve never travelled outside of Africa before, so getting my box was such a thrill for me! I couldn’t wait to try out special treats unique to a foreign country! What we got didn’t disappoint! From chocolatey gooey goodness to savoury unique crisps, each item was packed full of flavour and I loved exploring these new tastes and treats. I love the added extra of receiving a little pamphlet with the history of each sweet brand.

    Aryan and I got to try the Turkish box this month and we had such a wonderful time exploring all the different tastes and textures of Turkey! I loved that the box had such a variety of sweet treats, which guaranteed that there was something that both Aryan and I could enjoy! I enjoyed the sweet treats, and the sour of course, and Aryan really enjoyed all of the different types of chocolates and cakes that we wont really find in South Africa. All-in-all we had tons of fun, giggles and laughter as our senses got to enjoy the culture and flavours of Turkey! Thank you Much Time Box for bringing the yumminess of the world to us.

    Always an interesting assortment of items from across the world. We loved that each month was from a different country, and that it was always a surprise what we would find inside.

    I will say that the boxes tended to focus on items not readily available as imports so you don’t just get a bunch of “usual” items that are not from here but still readily available.

    Not sure if it is worth doing it more than a few times to get an overview of what is out there.

    + PROS: You get to try items you may have never heard of, or have heard of but cannot get here in SA. You get a bunch of items from a different country that gives you some insight into the culture of the place that is different from what we know. It is interesting to see a snapshot of what sweets are like in a different country.
    - CONS: Some countries have really sucky sweets - they don't have the same types of flavours we are accustomed to. Some are even mostly only biscuits or are all the same flavour - for example, the sweet pack from India was all spices and plain biscuits. I don't know that i would have classed them as sweets, but it goes to show perhaps how things are different in other places.

    My favourite subscription box I’ve received. Opening the box has become an event for my family which we cannot wait for each month. The process in ordering is super easy and quick! When my package was shipped that same day they notified me of the tracking number for me to locate it. I would definitely recommended it 🙂

    Shipping Policy

    Your snack box will be delivered to you as quickly as possible normally within 7 days but could be longer depending on factors such as when you signed up and our next shipment date.  If you choose to continue with your subscription you will be billed for the full subscription box automatically after you receive the box.  If you choose the month to month subscription you are free to cancel at any point after receiving the treat box. If you pick a 6 or 12 month plan you must stay committed for the duration of the plan. If you request to cancel before the end of the initial commitment you no longer qualify for any discount on any boxes and must pay a cancellation fee equivalent to any discount received.  Should you have any questions please email info@subscriptionbay.co.za.

    Acceptance of Terms of Use

    By purchasing a MunchCrate Store subscription box you accept and agree to be bound and abide by these Terms of Use.

    Monthly Delivery

    As a subscribed MunchCrate and Subscriptionbay member, each month we will ship you a package with a different selection of snacks from a specific country selected by MunchCrate (“Products”). Each month of your subscription, the selection of Products from the country of the month may change. Accordingly, MunchCrate cannot guarantee that a selection available in a particular timeframe will be available in any subsequent timeframe.

    BY SUBSCRIBING YOU AGREE TO PAY THE MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION FEE FOR THE PRODUCTS THAT ARE SUPPLIED EACH MONTH.

    Online Purchases and Terms of Sale

    Subscribing: By subscribing you agree to pay your subscription fee for the goods that are delivered for the term agreed by both parties.

    Any introductory discount applied on the 6 or 12 month subscription means your first month is an introduction month. It also means you have a minimum of another 6 or 12 payments due on your commitment term before you can cancel.

    Subscription Renewal: By signing up to a MunchCrate subscription box you understand and agree you will be charged at the standard rate and that any promotional codes used as a new customer at signup do not transfer or apply to your renewal fee. The Company does not accept any responsibility for ‘auto renewals’ proceeding if you have failed to cancel your subscription before your next renewal date. You understand and agree that you will be automatically billed after your current subscription of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months expires unless the subscription cancellation request is received by email to info@subscriptionbay.co.za before your next payment date.

    YOUR SUBSCRIPTION IS CONTINUOUS UNTIL YOU CANCEL AND, IF YOU CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP BEFORE THE END OF AN EXISTING SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THAT SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD.

    IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP PRIOR TO YOUR SUBSCRIPTION RENEWAL. YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW FOR A NEW SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD OF THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME.

    Refund Policy

    Shipping: Our listed prices include shipping fees and VAT unless otherwise stated. All orders placed on our website are subject to availability. Products will be shipped according to our Site shipping terms. 

    Loss of Goods: Our ‘Picking & Shipping’ delivery company is responsible for the delivery of all goods ordered. Please track your order online with the tracking number provided and follow up with them regarding delays or failure of delivery. All of this information will be sent to you by email once you have subscribed.

    • Dates for delivery are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
    • Delivery is also subject to any matter beyond our reasonable control.
    • If for any reason payment in full is not made, we may withhold or suspend delivery of the products.

    Remote Areas, Townships, Regions, Mines, Chain Stores, Farms, Power Stations, Plots, Embassy, Government building or long waiting periods for our couriers may attract additional surcharge fees. Clients will be notified before shipping and given the option to accept the additional surcharge or cancel their order.

    Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

    Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription by sending an email to the info@subscriptionbay.co.za website at any time. This does not initiate any kind of refund if you fail to cancel before the renewal date.

    Your subscription is continuous until you cancel and, if you cancel your membership before the end of an existing subscription commitment period, you will be charged for the remainder of that subscription period.

    By MunchCrate stating you can cancel at anytime this directly refers to the renewal and not your commitment term.

    Any discounts or free trial boxes given on the first month of a new subscription are applied on the assumption you stay subscribed for the entire initial commitment period. If you request to cancel before the end of the initial commitment you no longer qualify for any discount or free trial on any boxes and must pay a cancellation fee of the one month rate for any box you received a discount or free trial.

    MunchCrate store does not offer a free trial or discount unless stated. You can only cancel after the first box if you select a month to month subscription. A 6 Month or 12 month subscription is different and you have agreed to stay for the entire subscription period. This policy protects the company from abuse of our discount or free trial systems given to new members who want to join up on a new subscription. If you agree to a 6 month or 12 month subscription you need to stay for the full commitment period. Normal month to month subscriptions can be cancelled at any point.

    MunchCrate store discounts or free trials are one per household.

    MunchCrate store is a subscription service, by signing up you agree it is your responsibility to cancel your own subscription by emailing your request to info@subscriptionbay.co.za. The Company does not accept responsibility to cancel your account on your behalf without written consent.  It is up to the customer alone to request cancellation of the subscription. Cancellations must be completed before the next renewal date. Your subscription will renew on the 1st day of each month that you signed up after your commitment period ends.

    You must cancel your subscription 24 hours before the renewal date. IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL PRIOR TO THE RENEWAL DATE OF A CALENDAR MONTH, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THAT MONTH’S SERVICE AND YOU WILL RECEIVE A MunchCrate Subscription.  All cancellation requests received after the renewal date of a calendar month will apply to the following calendar month.

    Billing & Payments : You will automatically be charged each month for your ongoing subscription. If you have committed to a subscription period lasting longer than one month (e.g., a six month plan, a twelve month plan), you will automatically be charged each month during that subscription period, even if you have set your subscription or membership to cancel prior to the end of that subscription period. Further, unless you cancel your subscription or membership prior to the end of your then-current subscription period, at the end of that period, your subscription will automatically be renewed for an additional subscription period of the same amount of time.

    Prepaid credit / debit cards are not accepted.

    For your convenience and continuous subscription benefits as a member, if your payment method reaches its expiration date, you do not edit your credit card information and you have an ongoing subscription, you authorise us to continue billing that credit card on file including extending the expiration date until we are notified by you or the credit card company that the account is no longer valid. We encourage you to constantly update your payment method information or cancel your membership should you wish to discontinue your monthly purchase of Products.

    Return / Refund Policy: All sales and subscriptions made on the MunchCrate store via the Subscriptionbay site are considered final. The Company has a return policy in line with the consumer act, if there is a problem or defect with any product delivered by MunchCrate we will do our utmost to rectify the problem. Products must be returned unopened, unused and intact. If the products have been opened/used we will not accept a return or offer any refund, by subscribing you agree to these terms. Please refer to our General Enquiries, or you can contact customer service using info@subscriptionbay.co.za. It would be the customers responsibility to cancel the subscription when they want.  

    Correspondence: We send e-mail correspondence and newsletters following orders and registration by members. You can opt out of these at anytime.

    Pricing/Errors: Product prices and product availability are subject to change without notice. We may cancel any offer and reserve the right to correct errors, including after an order has been submitted, whether or not your credit/debit card has been charged. If your credit/debit card has already been charged and your order is cancelled, the Company will issue a refund to your credit/debit card account in the amount of the charge. You accept that your subscription being ‘auto renewed’ on the date advised at sign up is not considered an error liable for refund.

    Order Acceptance/Confirmation: We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order. The Company reserves the right to decline sales to any party.

    Warranty: You are responsible for deciding if the products you receive are suitable for your consumption (including allergies, choking, and all other hazards). You agree that the sole solution for any damage arising from using our products will be credited towards your next subscription as decided by MunchCrate. We will not offer any compensation under any circumstance.

      How do i know what is my next box? I received a box with USA goods last month

      Hope you are well.


      You will be receiving a different country box each month.


      Your first box you get to pick, which you picked USA, from the 2nd box onwards then the boxes are a mystery until you unbox it.


      Unfortunately, due to the nature of imports we cannot give a 100% plan of what you will receive but our customers do find the mystery part of the fun too.


      If you do have a specific preference or if you have any allergies we will try accommodate you.

      We deliver nationwide throughout South Africa. We ship out of Johannesburg and delivery directly to your door.

      I note you can choose only from 4 countries for your first box? Do you get to choose the other boxes or are they random?? I took a 12 month subscription

      Note that you can select your first box and that thereafter you will receive a different box from a different country randomly each month (For e.g. USA, UK, Italy, brazil and many more...)

      You will get billed immediately for the first box as soon as you sign up. Thereafter you will get billed on the 1st of each month.

      How does it get delivered to SA

      It will be delivered via courier right to your door (Nationwide in South Africa). We will send you a tracking number the moment it is shipped out.

      Why Are The Subscriptions Different Prices If It's Still Paid Monthly?

      Good question! If you commit to a longer length subscription plan, you get the best deal! Preparing ahead of time allows us to make plans with high quality supply to put together future MunchCrate boxes at a great price. 

      If a long term plan isn't your thing, no problem! We also offer a month to month subscription so feel free to sign up to whichever plan works best for you.

      What is your cancellation policy?

      We will be sad to see you go, but you can cancel your subscription at any time. Just send us an email at info@subscriptionbay.co.za. If you have committed for a longer subscription and have boxes left to receive you will be charged for, and will be shipped the remaining boxes. Then upon completion of your original commitment your subscription will automatically be cancelled.

      Please remember we have to process subscriptions. You need to cancel 24 hours before your renewal to ensure you don't get charged.

      Why was my subscription renewed?

      MunchCrate is a subscription service that automatically renews at the end of each cycle, same as most other services of it's type. We do this to ensure all members of our pack don’t miss a single subscription box.

If you have signed up for a multi month subscription you will still be charged for the remaining boxes if you cancel before the end of your commitment term.
